How can you buy a tadpole overline?, cause my son wants a tadpole-frog?

Answers:
Grow a frog has a website and sells them and "homes" for them. Also check out some of the different frog groups on Yahoo groups, I belong to a couple of them and have seen where some people will send you one if you pay for the shipping. I have an Albino African Clawed Frog, it's lots of fun to watch. My kids just love it. And these frogs live for a really long time, mine is about 3 years old but some people in the group have them that are 10-20 years old.

Since you didn't realize that frogs are amphibians, not reptiles, I suggest you do more research on caring for your pet. In most states, it is illegal to just go out and capture a frog/tadpole. They don't sell tadpoles online-you'd have to get a frog. I personally prefer to see the animal, check it's eyes/mouth/skin/etc to make sure it's healthy, and then get it as soon as I pay for it at a local pet store.

Check the edges of ponds they are usually loaded with them. You can get him quite a few that way. It is wonderful watching them grow into little tiny frogs. I used to bring them home in a ice cream bucket.

If you go here or any one of a number of elementary science sites you will find kits for hatching out frogs eggs. They are a great learning experience and will supply everything you need to grow healthy young frogs and teach your son about them too.

I have never seen a tadpole for sale. If you really want a tadpole you'll have to go to a local river, pond, creek etc. and catch one or two.

If you would want a frog that is totally aquatic like fish once it has morphed then you can go to www.growafrog.com and get a tadpole from them. If you choose this route do not buy anything else from them except for tadpole food which will be a fine powdered food. there are many of us who have raised these tadpoles and can help you with want you will need to care for it to grow up and be a happy healthy frog. Please do not buy the tanks that grow a frog will try and talk you into buying. When african clawed frogs are full grown each frog needs 7-10 gals of water so you would be better of purchasing a 10 gal. tank right away to put the tadpole in. You will only fill the 10 gal tank half way full while it is a tadpole. Feed it the powdered food twice a day. You will need to run a air stone on low in the tank while it is a tadpole. Once it gets it's arms and legs it will start absorbing it's tail. You don't feed it during this time. Once it is a froglet you can then fill the tank up except for leaving a 2 inch space at the top as they can jump out if the tank is full. You will then need a filter on the 10 gal tank and it should be a filter for atleast a 20 gal. tank. With these frogs you need to over filter as they can poop a lot depending on what you feed them.
Like I said if you choose this type of frog please only get the tadpole and powdered tadpole food from grow a frog. They will rip you off saying their tanks are all they frog will ever need and that is not true.
