How do i get my mom and dad to get me a LIZARD!?

Answers:
Do well in school.
Show respect to your parents and be good to your siblings. Do errands when you are asked. Help with the dishes, keep your room neat and clean, help with shopping, laundry and act lovingly to your family. Be honest.Show them you are responsible and capable of caring for an animal. Study the needs and care of the kind of lizards you like and share your knowledge with them.
If you deserve it,your parents may help you. If not, wait till you grow up and you're on your own.
Show them how responsible you are. Keep your room clean, help with the dishes, do your homework in a timely manner.
If you don't want crickets around the house, get one that just eats greens...it may be easier to convince you parents that way. Good luck!!!
if you get a mali uromastyx, they only eat veggies! and they are REALLY easy to take care of! so all you need is like $100 bucks to get the tank and all the supplies. so you could help them out doing odd jobs, and getting paid for them. or if you really really want one (depending on your age) you could get a job! that would really show them now much you want one.
as far as researching lizards i would google it. dont trust everything you see here. one guy above me said get a uromastyx because they only eat veggies. wrong.

heres info on them from a care sheet..
Uromastyx are omnivorous which means they consume both animal and plant materials. Since there is no data about the specific nutritional requirements of this genus a large variety of food items should be offered. Young animals more readily accept insects such as wax worms, crickets, and super meal worms, which should be offered three or four times per week. The following vegetables should be offered; kale, collard greens, mustard greens, sweet potatoes, carrots, peas, corn, and green peas. In addition, dandelion greens, alfalfa, grass, and flowers can be added to the diet. Beans such as split peas, lentils, navy beans, and other should also be provided. Some of these beans can be sprouted prior to feeding. Bird seed should also be mixed in with the salad. A reptile vitamin containing calcium should be sprinkled on the salad. Some of the commercial iguana chows can also be mixed in with the salad to ensure better nutrition. There are some indications that nutritional needs are not easily met for this genus. Several herpetoculturists who are raising young Uromastyx aegyptius and Uromastyx acanthinurus report slow growth rates. For example, I obtained two captive born Uromastyx aegyptius that were three inches long. Within eight months one animal was five inches long and the other 11 inches and much bulkier. The only difference in husbandry was that the larger animal would eat insects and smaller one would not. I have also observed slow growth in captive born Uromastyx acanthinurus.

looks like hes wrong and they eat veggies and insects for a complete balanced diet.

i would reccomend printing out info on crested geckos. they are the easiest to care for, and no b.s. they can be fed water, vitmamin powder, and canned baby food as a complete diet. they are totally tame, can be kept in a 5 dollar plastic container from walmart, or a 10 gallon aquarium. they are the best beginner lizard, and are tame from the start.

i would give your parents as much info printed out as you can for them to read. your grades should already be good, your room should alread be clean, etc. so im not going to get into that. show them you are informed and ready to take on the responsibility.
i wanted a turtle when i was young but my parents wouldn't get me one, so when i was out shopping with my grandma on my birthday, she bought it for me. and my parents just excepted it cause i was so happy
