Green Tree Frog question?

My son got ahold a green tree frog outback i didnt think much of it. After awhile the tree frog was no longer slimy. So i took it away from him. The next day when I went outside the frog was dead and dried up. What happened? As a kid i played with them just like my son and none of them ever dried up and died like that.
Answers:
Green tree frogs must always be wet -- they drink through their skin. It sounds like he dehydrated. They have to be misted at least once a day and always have a shallow pond or dish of water to jump into, to "drink." (not too high or they will drown). I don't know for sure what kind of water he had access to, but if he was taken away from a pond and given no new water source then that is my best guess. Green tree frogs are awesome, if he gets another one, and don't need a ton of care.
they need high moisture and humidy levels.your house didnt have them. he died and dried. r.i.p.
Are you sure they didn't die?
Most wildlife goes into shock when handled by humans. Lots of things die when handled.
Reptiles are cold blooded. The heat of your (or your kid's) hands is enough to put them into shock.

It could have been sick already.
That happens when they havent had access to water. That has happend to my frog before. But he died because of old age. They like to sit in it and soak, atleast mine did.
well they need a lot of moisture so the humidity might have been low at the area where it died or started to get dry.
