we have had our turtle sammy for about 8 years...the past 3 days he wont eat and usually when i touch his back feet he will pull them in now he dosent move them at all he stays in his little hut all day and night...he is a tortis so we only give him water about once every 2 weeks so i put him in the sink last night and let him enjoy that but he just went right back to his hut...is he just being a turtle or dying? is there a way to tell if he is sick?
Answers:
He might be sick .. U should take him to a doctor and get him check out before anything bad happen to him.Did u read anything on your turtle..Where did u get him at?
I would see that he is dying. I have had two small turtles about the size of top of the soda can and when they are going to pass they don't eat and just stay in their home.
Sorry
Hello..now hopefully you see why no one should make native wild critters their pets.. they are never your pet, they are forever wild creatures that need to be left free..in many places it is against the law to capture them, especially wild birds...%26 reptiles..if people really want reptiles, they should go to reputable, reptile stores that sell captive bred reptiles ..only, good ones will know ALL the care they need, plus it's healthier for the pet, you %26 other pets...many wilds creatures carry diseases, that you can't see, but can make humans %26 other pets sick !! Take Care :)
