Filter for my red ear sider?

what filter do you recemend for my 10 gal tank that does a good job and also that is nicly priced, by that i mean not so expensive. o

You need to get a filter 3 times the size of the tank since turtles are so messy, you need to buy a bigger one. For example, for your 10gal tank, you need a filter for a 30gal tank. AquaTech is a good brand in walmart and cheap too. :)
I recommend a filter that is made for a larger than 10 gal tank. RES are messy and need a strong filter to clean the water.

Fluval is a good brand, also cascade. Good filters that workn well will be priced high, yet reasonable becauase they are quality.
i used to own re-eared sliders. For one, your tank is way to small. They grow to be a pretty good size and i'd start with a twenty gallon, that should last you for a while and its easier than buying a 10gal. now and more money later for a bigger tank. Go to your local Fish Store, like Petsmart or Petco. They will have the proper filter for you. It's an underwater sponge filter, all you have to do is take the sponge off the long, cone-shaped filter head and rinse it off-simple! Red-eared sliders are the messiest of all turtles and stink if you do not keep up with them. Good luck.
any filter that will let you have a low water level. Internal filters work great like a whisper. red ears can be dirty so you need to clean alot anyway so any filter will do.
DO NOT GET AN UNDER GRAVEL FILTER!!! They do not clean efficiently. Other filters are recommended
I had an All Living Things filter in my smaller tanks (my tanks now are too large for them) that are made specifically for turtles, worked extremely efficiently and were very quiet. I'd recomend them to anyone with small turtles. If you choose to use a fish filter, make sure that it can do twice what your tank is. For a 10 gallon tank, you'd need a 20 gallon filter because turtles are way more messy than fish, especially two of them. It won't seem like it when they're small but when they grow, you'll notice if you don't keep the tank maintained.
I have used every filter out there for turtle tanks. The best brand (in my experience) is WHISPER, get a 10-20gal filter for your tank. The filter is pretty inexpensive, it'll be less than $20. Each turtle should have 10 gallons for themself, so if you have one turtle your tank is fine. If you have 2, you should have a 20 gal. tank. The Whisper works pretty well, but food can get stuck if its not water soluble. Its actually pretty quiet too, hence the name "whisper".
