I was mowing the lawn under the trees in our yard the other day and I felt somthing hit my shoulder... So I looked on the ground and there was a snake laying there, maybe 3 feet long, it was brown with white rings wrapping around its body... Any ideas I what it was?

Could have been a milk snake? Don't say what part of the country you are from.

It could be a milk snake but I think it is more likely a king snake
