If it cant lift its head there is probly something wrong with it. I got 16 ducks last year. I got them all the same day they hatched.
All of them were able to walk around, eat, and drink. It was a lot of fun.

Take baby duck food (should look kinda like oatmeal) and put it in a little dish with some water.
Ducks will take some food then wahs it down with water.

I hate to say this but sence its not lifting its head I wouldnt hold out much hope. Maby mix a little with water untill its pasty and put a little on your finger, it may peck some off.

keep trying there is no reason to give up yeat but also be prapered for the worst.
You got the duck food right? the pellet like stuff... We used to wet the food and make it like a mush. They usually ate it. I dont know why duck is in reptiles but Good luck. Sorry I couldn't be of more help
When a duckling hatches, they absorb the last of their yolk into their abdomen, and have no need to eat for about 3 days after hatching. They are often weak and wobbly for the first little while after hatching, until they are all dried off and fluffy looking. Make sure you have a proper heat source, and that he can also get away from that heat if he so desires so he doesn't overheat. Overheating will kill a newly hatched duckling more quickly than anything else.

Offer him a shallow dish of water, and gently dunk the tip of his beak in it several times. He should eventually get the idea. Sometimes putting something shiny (but too large for him to swallow, like a marble) will get him pecking at the water, and he will figure it out from there as well...but usually the "beak dunking" does the trick.
