Eastern milk snakes -- finicky or should eat well?

I've had a wild-caught eastern milk for almost a year now and once I brumated him he started eating voraciously every three days, no problem. (I got him as a hatchling). He seems very happy and comfortable. I've been trying to feed him the last few days but he's uninterested. I put the food in the same place every time so it's not like he can't find it. The mice i give him have always been f/t, so it's not that, either.

Anyway I know snakes just sometimes don't eat (i have a 5-year-old cal king, so i'm not completely new to this or anything). I was just wondering if eastern milks are like ball pythons, who are supposedly notorious for not eating at random times.

Just wondering if I should worry or not.
He's got tons of weight on him (twice the size he was at the end of brumation -- like i said, been eating really well) so if he doesn't eat for a while he'll be ok.

I've got 4 of them %26 have had them for 6-7yrs. They will drive ya crazy when they stop for absolutely no apparent reason, but , other than sudden temp. changes, there doesn't seem to be any real reason for the behavior. Just keep him comfy %26 offer food 1-2/week till he starts again. Also this time of the year they start looking for mating opportunities %26 this can put them off their food as well.
PS DO NOT feed them another snake. This happened by accident to a friend of mine %26 his snake refused all other types of food after that %26 it can get pretty tough supplying feeder snakes to yours.
yes he will be ok. snakes can go a long time without eating up to a year. Try to feed him something else. try to find him a garder snake or something like that. King snakes like to eat other snakes. Dont make it a habit though. good luck.
Wild caught snakes in general can be challenging. I've had lots of wild snakes over the years, but always found eastern milks to be more difficult than many other species.
