Nah mate. A slow worm is a member of the lizard family
its a big worm
slow worm. Or grass snake.
Oh my, I think you have the dreaded small brown London snake .
Very poisonous
Are you sure it wasnt a big dog Poo
oh there it is oh do not panic that was my belt
Did you pick it up, did it bite you ?.I wanted ti say grass snake. It might have been an adder.
This sounds like it could be an adder (also known as viper) which is our only poisonous snake. It can be easily recognised by the dark joined-up diamond pattern down its back. The body is usually grey or brown. Males grow to about18 inches in length and females to 2 feet. They eat small animals, nestling birds, eggs, lizards, young frogs and toads. Mating takes place in April-early May so the timing is right. Should not be touched unless you know what you're doing.
Sounds like the infamous 'escapus miraculus' snake to me.

Without a photo, it's pretty hard for anyone to give you a definitive answer. if you're still alive, and have been handling it, chances are good that it's not poisonous, however, until you DO find out what kind of snake it is, you might want to keep your hands off it. You never know if someone imported it.
dont eat it! for gods sake!
its very likey to be a slow worm . they are ok they dont bite they arent poisonous . just put it on some grassy area .let it live its life

Could well be a slow worm.

Watch it's eyes carefully.Does it have eyelids?If so it's a slow worm.

They are not snakes or worms they are actually legless lizards. They are native to the UK.

If it is a slow worm let it go somewhere well away from roads such as in fields or woods.

If it doesn't have eyelids then it is probably an exotic snake that's escaped.Take it to a petshop that sells snakes and see if they can identify it.
probably is a slow worm. slow worms are harmless - they are actually a lizard, without legs, not a snake.
was it a duegon, are there duegons in london? just leave snakes alone full stop
