Do turtles travel/live in groups or alone?

There was one in our back yard and i want to know if there could be any more close.
My backyard goes into a creek,if that makes any of a difference.
Answers:
Usually they live alone. This is not to say that there won't be a hunder in a lake but they don't all clam together. Most are territorial and agressive if with others. They prefer to have their space.
In groups, like in Finding Nemo. = )
Alone
Most turtles are solitary creatures.
lol @ catlvr. Those were sea turtles.

Most turtles live alone, but sometimes they can live together in pairs.
