How do you tell if a turtle is a boy or girl??

Answers:
Males usually have longer claws and longer tails. They are also usually on the smaller side, compared to females. It can be very difficult to tell...especially is the turtle is very young.

Scroll down to about the 6th block on the link above for pictures.
Girl turtles have the pink bows and boy turtles like football.
Was it Sting who sang about Blue Turtles? They must have been boys. Girl turtles will be pink.
If your turtle is female she will have a sightly convex bottom shell. A male will have a concave stomach. Think of two turtles mating, male on top needs to "fit" on felmails rounded top shell.
well I took mine to the vet, and he could tell by the shape of the shell. If you look around online i'm sure you can find something that explains what to look for, or you can just wait to see if she lays eggs. I also remember the vet saying something about the shape of the tail.
