How to find a pet lizard that is lose in the house?

Answers:
Hang meat arounfd the entire house. It works best if it's raw and touching the walls so he can get to it. His natural attraction to the enzymes in the meat will draw him to it. While he is consuming the meat you simply grab him.
? turn the main heating off and leave one small heat/light source in each room? would it seek out the heat?
Do you have a cat?

set a trap, get one of those cages that has the trigger at the closed end, hang its fav food in there and try to go out for a while, when it goes in and gets the food it will trigger the door release, whala one caught lizard
Normally a lizard of any kind will come out when they are hungry enough.
If it is cool in your home, A/C on, he may be hibernating.
We could not find our Bearded Dragon for a week, till one day my son heard scratching noises coming from under his bed.
He was up under the box spring.
He ripped the material and made himself a little hammock.
Does yours normally run the house, or does he stay in a tank?
If he runs the house, then put the heat lamp next to where he eats.
If he got out of his tank, then put the heat lamp next to or on the floor to get him to come out.
Hope this helps!
Oh, by the way, be very careful if you have reclining chairs. Check under them before opening and closing.
A friend did that, and crushed his lizard.
Depends what kind of lizard. If it's a bearded dragon look on the warmest spot in your home... mine loved to hid under my bed for some odd reason. Geckos like to hide under things and in corrners. Snakes hide under everything and anything. Reptiles arn't really dumb so leaving food out might attract them but more than likely when your sleeping or out of the room. Your best bet is to look in a bunch of spots every so often. Over the next few days. Works well for me... even if I don't lose animals that often anymore lol.
Hello ..depends on the kind of lizard..most like high spots, geckos will come out @ night %26 head for the ceilings cuz that's where flies hang out @ night..iguana's, beardies..things that don't climb like a gecko will seek high shelves, tops of frigs, etc ...cuz warm air rises, so they head for the warm spots...Take Care :)
HAHA good luck. i had a baby bunny get lost in the house when my cat brought it in...still aint found it.6months later...
