How many times do Crested Geikos lay eggs?
Answers:
About, well they normally breed at night and then lay 2 eggs in approx. 28 to 40 days after mating. I am not sure if the double clutching thing with snakes is the same with geckos but if it is they cant lay as many or it can hurt them. But if its not, then as many that can be laid within that period.
They will lay eggs approximately every 35-50 days (depending on the female) and can lay year round. Each clutch usually results in 2 eggs.
Just to give you an idea, we had one female lay Jan.30, Mar.13, and again April 17.
And another that laid Feb.13 and April 2.
crested geckos will lay eggs year rouind, usually 2 at a time every few weeks, you shouldnt let this happen though, every few weeks you should take the male out for a bit, everytime the f3emale forms a new egg, it removes calcium from her body and bones to do it and can take its toll on her life... good luck and research more if needed
